The AEGON Breakfast Club programme has recently received two very generous donations from Clydesdale Bank and Muirhouse Housing Association.

The donation from MHA will allow the project to provide additional support to schools in North Edinburgh and will help them to purchase necessary catering equipment.

The donation by Clydesdale Bank has been earmarked to support a staff training programme for Breakfast Club Supervisors and Assistants.

AEGON Breakfast Club co-ordinator Karen McKendrick said, "We recognise the importance of investing in the training and development of those delivering this vital service in schools across the City and believe that this programme will help to maintain and raise standards in every breakfast club."

The AEGON Breakfast Club is continuing to seek support from local businesses for local schools.

Companies interested in hearing more about the benefits of breakfast clubs and the opportunities available to them should they choose to enter a supporter agreement with the Trust should contact Karen on 0131 200 7218.
