Berra wins players' accolade
Christophe Berra was tonight crowned the Chatham Skoda Players' Player of the Year at an emotional dinner, Awards Ceremony and Scottish Cup Anniversary Celebration here at Tynecastle Stadium.
The club captain received eight nominations, compared to five for Andrew Driver in votes cast, for the first time, in front of the Hearts.TV cameras.
Ruben Palazuelos finished in third place with three votes, whilst Steve Banks and Eggert Jonsson both receive two. Former star Andrius Velicka, along with Robbie Neilson, Christos Karipidis and Jose Goncalves all received one vote each.
The Carling Supporters' Player of the Year went to Ruben Palazuelos after a string of committed performances.
And the Scottish Leader Goal of the Season was awarded to Laryea Kingston after his breathtaking free-kick against St Mirren last month.
It was a night to remember as well, with Scottish Cup heroes from 1998 participating in some terrific fun including a 'Question of Hearts' based on the massively popular Question of Sport quiz show.
The audience, a 400 sell-out, was also treated to a multi media extravaganza of goals and memorable moments from 1998, whilst there were plenty of laughs with our brilliant interactive game - Goal or Miss!
You can watch all the votes from the Chatham Skoda Players' Player of the Year on Hearts.TV now.
Tomorrow the club's official online TV channel will broadcast exclusive interviews with heroes from 1998 and the award winners from 2008!
