Robbie's chat with PM
Hearts star Robbie Neilson was inducted into the Show Racism the Red Card Hall of Fame at a ceremony at Downing Street last night.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown presented the full-back with his award and Robbie revealed the Raith Rovers fan took the opportunity to talk to him about the successful Hearts influence at Stark's Park.
"It was a good night and a great experience being down at No. 10," said Robbie.
"The Prime Minister was very knowledgeable about football and we talked a lot about the job John McGlynn is doing at Raith and the young players from Hearts he has there.
"There were quite a few guys there for the presentation, including Craig Gordon, so it was good to catch up with him again. Sol Campbell was there as was the likes of Jason de Vos, Dave Jones and Warren Barton.
"I just got back this afternoon so it's been a busy couple of days after the testimonial match and player of the year awards on Sunday. But it's all been worth it and the Hall of Fame award was a real honour and great PR for the club."
Robbie is unavailable for tonight's Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Gretna at Fir Park with a stomach injury.
