Hearts today revealed the club's away shirt launch has been a stunning success with sales just short of double last year's similar launch period.

Sales are up 90% on last year, which can be widely attributed to the hugely popular new shirt design, which features navy blue - a reflection of the club's uniquely Scottish heritage.

A spokesperson for the club said, "We are absolutely delighted with sales, which represents both the incredible loyalty of our supporters, and the fact that it is fantastic shirt, probably the best design and quality we've ever produced.

"Supporters have enjoyed using our new online store, and the pre-order to receive 24-hours early offer went exceptionally well from all sides, too as previously announced.

"It is Hearts aim to produce team-wear and associated replica kit which is popular with supporters and reflective of our identity as a great Scottish institution. As far as the away kit goes, we're confident that we've done that."

The new home kit launches tomorrow (Thursday) at 10.30am when pre-orders will begin via Hearts Direct.

Hearts.TV subscribers will see the new kit exclusively first at 9.30am.
