Heart of Midlothian Football Club is delighted to announce their first signing of the summer, Ugandan international David Obua (24) from Kaizer Chiefs, subject to final medical tests and the issue of a work permit.

The left-back, who can also play left-midfield arrived in Edinburgh on Friday from the South African club and immediately joined up with the Tynecastle squad for pre-season training.

David started his career at Ugandan team Express FC and then spent three years of his playing in the United States, before making the move to South Africa's biggest football club.

Manager Csaba Laszlo worked with David in the national team, for whom he has appeared more than 22 times.

Everyone at Tynecastle is delighted to welcome David and wishes him every success with Hearts.
