We must score more!
From Hearts News in Eltville, Germany
Csaba Laszlo was happy to see his Hearts side chalk up six of the best here in Germany last night - but the manager insisted it should have been a lot more!
Hearts hammered a local Rheingau select side 6-0 with Ksanavicius, Berra, Zaliukas, Kingston, Stewart and Makela on the score sheet.
However, the Jambos created over 20 over serious opportunities to score, and with that in mind the Tynecastle boss wants to avoid profligacy in front of goal
"I am always happy but the problem is that we don't score," he explained. "We created a lot of chances. Ok we score some goals but more was possible.
"I am happy about the team spirit and I am happy about the kind of football that we are playing.
"I think at the moment the players are very tired but they did a good job. Against Kaiserslautern we must do a bit more. We must run a bit more."
After several days of triple training sessions the pace will not relent today as the manager explained. "Even tomorrow we have three training sessions," he noted. "As I said before, not always in pre-season are results important. The most important thing is tactics.
"I would like to see on the field what I teach the players. I saw in my team that there is competition there - especially in midfield."
Last night's match was watched by Vladimir Romanov, chairman of Hearts' majority shareholder UBIG and his son and club chairman Roman Romanov. The manager is set to discuss possible signing options over the next few days with a view to next season.
"I hope that as soon as possible we can take a goalkeeper and maybe two or three players and then the team will be ready for the first league game," Csaba added.
