HNT: Csaba's priority
The appointment of a new first-team goalkeeping coach will be treated as a priority, Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo said today.
Steve Banks has been appointed coach of the youth keepers, with Csaba having already started the process of recruiting a replacement for the senior team.
Speaking to Hearts News today, the Tynecastle boss said: "We will be having talks about this and discussing what we will do.
"It is important to have someone in this position as soon as possible and we will do something as quickly as we can."
A number of possible candidates are being considered, although Csaba preferred to keep their identities to himself for the moment.
He added: "We have some ideas but cannot discuss them just now."
Csaba, meanwhile, praised the performance of Jamie MacDonald against Rangers, the Scotland U21 keeper having made his Hearts debut at Ibrox on Saturday.
Jamie wasn't at fault for either of the Glasgow side's goals and Csaba said: "Jamie had a good game and didn't make any mistakes.
"It was a nice afternoon for Jamie but the team work which the whole defence put in was very important, although the result was obviously very disappointing."
Meanwhile, Hearts U19s secured a 1-1 draw against Motherwell at Riccarton on Saturday. Exclusive highlights will be available on Hearts.TV later.
