HNT: Working hard
International commitments have meant vastly reduced numbers at first team training this week but there has been no cutback on the workload for the players still at Riccarton.
With the likes of Christophe Berra, Michael Stewart, Jamie MacDonald, Lee Wallace, Eggert Jonsson, David Obua, Laryea Kingston, Saulius Mikoliunas, Marius Zaliukas, Deividas Cesnauskis and Audrius Ksanavicius all away with their respective countries, manager Csaba Laszlo has had a skeleton squad at his disposal.
It has been business as usual, however, at the football academy with Csaba already focused on the Jambos next Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Falkirk on Saturday, September 13.
"We had a double session on Tuesday and the rest of this week we are working a bit more with the players who are here," Csaba told Hearts News Today.
"There is no extra time off for the players during the week. We have an important job to do here and must be ready for the next game. That is our priority."
While admitting it is not ideal having so many players away, the Hearts boss is taking advantage of the limited personnel available to him and has been working more closely with individuals out on the training ground.
"When the team is not together, you can't concentrate on tactical shape but that is not a big problem for me," he said.
"We are able to work on specific things in training when players are away on international duty. It is nice to have some players with whom I can work individually - that is good for the younger ones."
