Heart of Midlothian today announced the signing of Marius Zaliukas, a deal which was completed this morning, when paperwork arrived at the Scottish Premier League.

The 22 year-old featured in a pre-season challenge match against Osasuna at Murrayfield Stadium in July and impressed head coach Valdas Ivanauskas sufficiently to secure the signing of the FBK Kaunas star on loan.

"Marius is a good young player, but he will need time to adjust," head coach Valdas Ivanauskas revealed today. "His best position is defensive midfield but he gives us options."
