Club honours: Ghanaian League twice with Hearts of Oak

An outstanding playmaker with a rare mix of strength and skill, Larry has won several honours in his homeland with Hearts of Oak SC. The 28-year old powerhouse has also travelled the world to establish himself in the strong Ghana International side where he has now made 30 appearances.

During a cosmopolitan career that started in 1996 with one of his home town clubs, Accra Great Olympics, Larry has played in Italy, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Israel and then Russia.

From July 2004, he was with FC Krylya Sovetov Samara in the Russian Premier League and a year later, he moved to FC Terek Grozny, who temporarily played in Pyatigorsk due to civil unrest. FC Terek was relegated from the Premier League and accordingly, in January 2006, Laryea went on loan to FC Lokomotiv Moscow.

He was then signed by Hearts in January 2007 for £500,000 and made his debut against Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Cup on 3 February 2007. Although Larry has been bothered by niggling injuries during his time at Tynecastle, his quality is apparent and he is a fans' favourite.
