Today's game against Gretna will be the first time the teams have met since our Scottish Cup Final win in May last year and I am sure it will rekindle some fond memories.

However today will not be about the past, it is about ensuring that we show further improvement towards our goal of European football for next season. There are a number of key factors, both on and off field, that will help us achieve this goal and we realise that we still have a lot of work to do to make this aim a reality. However you can be sure we are as focused as ever on developing Hearts.

This task will be achieved and, with your continued support, we believe that our goal can be realised more quickly with the resolute backing of you as supporters of the club.

With this in mind we also, as importantly, are well aware of our responsibilities to the business of Hearts and that is why I can confidently say we will have a major news announcement in the near future on our proposals for the stadium redevelopment. It is an intrinsic part of our overall development plan for the club and I would hope that when you see our plans you will view our future as positively as we do.
