St Mirren - 17th February 2007

Hearts v St Mirren
Tynecastle - SPL
Saturday 17th February
Good afternoon again and welcome back to Tynecastle.
The race for second place is on and it was pleasing to get back to winning ways last weekend against Inverness. With six 'shout-outs' in our last eight Bank of Scotlalnd Premierleague matches, Hearts is once again building for the future based on a strong defensive backbone.
Our league results recently have given us confidence that, with our focus solely on second place, we are in a very good position to challenge for Champions League qualification once again.
On the business side, many of you will be aware that we released our annual results and we are satisfied that the results were entirely in line with our expectations. We have a long-term plan for the club which is geared towards growing Hearts into a business that can compete with other larger teams through increased attendances and improved revenues.
The foundation of our ambition will be built on sound business sense and a successful football team centred on ability and promise. We are in the early stages of this process but, with your support, the Board and I have no doubt that we will be successful.
Enjoy the game.
